WISE EV Partners with Nevada Department of Transportation to Pioneer State Fleet Electrification

WISE EV and the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) launched a comprehensive electric vehicle (EV) charging program marking a significant step towards transitioning NDOT’s fleet of 3,400 vehicles to electric power. The program aligns with Nevada’s commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solutions.

Under this partnership, NDOT has acquired advanced EV chargers to facilitate the gradual shift to electric vehicles. The pilot phase will see the installation of charging infrastructure at 13 strategic locations across the state, ensuring robust support for the incoming wave of EVs.

A highlight of this project is the innovative systems integration module developed by WISE EV. This module enables state employees to seamlessly use their ID cards at the EV charging stations, leveraging existing ID chip technology integrated into the charger’s credit card readers. This feature enhances user convenience and streamlines the charging process for state employees.

“The Nevada Department of Transportation is undertaking a significant journey towards electrification,” WISE EV CEO Kevin Williams said. “We are proud to support their vision with our cutting-edge technology and expertise in EV charging solutions. This project not only prepares NDOT for the imminent arrival of electric vehicles but also lays the foundation for a larger, more comprehensive plan to electrify their entire fleet.”

WISE EV is committed to building a National Network of EV charging stations, providing essential EV Charging Services to private businesses, government agencies, and tribal entities across the country. The collaboration with NDOT underscores its dedication to advancing electric mobility and fostering a sustainable future.
